daiylectio

dailyLectio.net is a resource designed to help you read the Bible with the church. Each day, it provides in one place the Daily Readings of the Revised Common Lectionary (RCL). The RCL has been adopted by numerous church bodies throughout the world as the schedule of biblical passages assigned to be read in their weekly Sunday worship.

The Daily Readings both prepare for and reflect back upon the themes found in these Sunday passages. Using dailyLectio.net will enhance your worship experience by highlighting the connection between Sunday’s texts and other texts with similar themes throughout the Bible. Regular use of dailyLectio.net can also deepen the connection between Sunday worship and the rest of your daily life. Using dailyLectio.net puts you in touch with the cycles of stories and celebrations that carry us through the church’s year.

The General Convention of the Episcopal Church

A great resource to keep in touch with items and look up resources from our General Conventions.

The General Convention is the governing body of The Episcopal Church. Every three years it meets as a bicameral legislature that includes the House of Deputies and the House of Bishops, composed of deputies and bishops from each diocese. The General Convention also includes Interim Bodies which meet between the triennial sessions to accomplish ongoing work and tasks set in the triennial sessions. The last session of the General Convention was in Austin Texas in July of 2018. Due to the pandemic, The 2021meeting of the General Convention was postponed.  We will post you on when the next session of the General Convention plans to meet.
